Research is on how to extract meaningful information from sensor signals and to intelligently act on this information to provide a reliable support system to the patients. The initial focus is on signal processing to support activity monitoring but later interpretation of biosignals will be included. In addition to the ability to develop novel algorithms to interpret and act on sensor signal data, the candidate must be able to understand the context in which the signal processing algorithms are deployed in order to ensure that the complete system is optimized for the patients benefit. -Take a leading role in defining the algorithms and prototyping a complete solution to demonstrate the value of the signal processing algorithms to end patients. Interface with colleagues from business units to ensure that the solutions defined are aligned with market requirements. Your Profile: -Excellent research experience in the field of signal processing, as demonstrated by having obtained a PhD degree. -The PhD degree should be supported by publications in renowned international journals. -Candidates should have done experimental research, or having experimentally verified their theoretical models. -Experience in working with complete solutions, not just signal processing in isolation. -Drive, entrepreneurial behaviour, result and quality driven. -Excellent communication skills.
