职位描述/要求：
Responsibilities:
- Once the project agreed by marketing, carry out the product design development
utilizing PRO-E as CAD software, starting from the product specification to
the validation of parts and complete products. Assure the manufacturability
of the product developed in conformity with the process technologies ( internally
and externally ).
- Develop studies and calculations regarding the part and their assembly in
the product in order to verify the design made. Those calculations will be
made taking into account the knowledge and experiences of our suppliers and
our process engineers. Based on studies and theoretical calculations on parts
and assemblies, check the conformance of the product data and indices versus
the product performance indicators ( CPK, 6 sigma tools ).
- From the preliminary specification, evaluate the technical feasibility and
the design of the future products, defining the preliminary BOM and technical
documentation, in order to get costs, investments and engineering hours needed.
- Determine the gaps between product specification indices and the project
data to establish actions to resolve (corrective action plan on design; and/or
upgrade the product Specification)
- Lead DFMEA process development review, and achieve for the product the
highest preventive failure measures and features ( robust design, easy to
produce without mistake ).
- Establish the product verification and validation plans, at every level
of the project stage (from engineering samples to the reliability test in
production), in order to qualify the parts and the complete products. Provide
and check the final drawings which will be used for launching tools.
- Have an active role in the relationships with all the parts involved in
the product performance, from Suppliers to Customers, promoting and supporting
the design requirements.
Requirements:

3 to 5 years working experience in a similar position, designing gas valves for similar applications;

Mechanical engineer graduated.

Good knowledge and experience with risk analysis, FMEA and 6 sigma tools.

Strong knowledge of materials (mainly metals), process technologies and test reliability methods;

Fluent in English is a must.

Some basics or Japanese speaking is a plus ( frequent contact with Utsunomiya's R&D )
