APCO China, a leading international public affairs consultancy, is seeking to hire a consultant for its Strategic Communication team in Beijing. The position demands versatility and the desire to learn about a variety of industries, while mastering the skills and techniques of the communications field. Applicants should be motivated "self-starters," who can balance multiple projects while continuously building new areas of expertise. Our consultants are members of flexible, cross-functional teams, chosen to meet the needs of a wide range of clients.


We are interested in candidates with strong "business sense" and interest and experience in corporate responsibility issues, stakeholder relations, collateral / creative development, strategy development, copy writing, and/or event management. As our needs and teams are flexible, please indicate which of these areas you feel is/are your strongest.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: A successful applicant should have experience demonstrating strong:


· Writing and analytical skills
Writing, research and analytical skills are critical, as our consultants support client projects by drafting public materials (i.e., press releases, opinion pieces, fact sheets), issue briefings and monitoring summaries, research reports and strategy recommendations. · Interpersonal skills, oral communication and presentation skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for interaction with clients and their stakeholders. Beyond language skills, our consultants need to know how to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders from the business, government, civil society and media sectors · Strong tactical abilities, time management and multi-tasking skills

Candidates should also have:
· Excellent written and oral skills (both English and Chinese)
· BA or BS required, or equivalent work experience
