Job Specification.

• To manage electric motor and gearbox projects that require initiation in the Far East
  
• Full understanding of technical drawings and general assemblies
  
• Understanding of geometric tolerances
  
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, casting, and moulding
  
• Project manage new tools for components
  
• Work with Quality Plans to ensure first class manufacture
  
• Experienced in Supplier Quality Assurance.
  
• Carry out supplier quality audits
  
• Experienced in the use of PC based applications (MS Word, MS Excel, databases).
  
• Experienced in the use of problem solving techniques.
  
• Implement process capability studies
  
• Experienced in the use of SPC to assure product / component quality.
  
• Work with suppliers to ensure process capability is continuously met
  
• Implement quality plans on new suppliers
  
• Identify new suppliers when required
  
• Ensure production quantities and schedules are adhered to.
  
• Willing and able to travel, UK, all of China
  
• Must speak Mandarin and English as well as being able to generate technical reports in English.
  
• Gross salary: CNY 6,000 - CNY 14,000 per month, heavily dependant on the applicant's abilities.

Ideal Candidate

• Knowledge of electric motor and drive system product manufacture extremely beneficial.
  
• Knowledge of gear cutting, aluminium die casting and CNC machining also of value.
  
• Degree qualified with 5 years experience in one of the following disciplines:
  
  1.Senior Engineering Position
  2.Senior Production Position
  3.Senior Quality Position
  4.Senior Purchasing Position
  
• Knowledge of modern techniques and best practices
  
• Good communication skills
  
• Investigation of quality problems in Production.
  
• Generation of work Instructions relating to Quality standards.
  
• Monitor and reporting on 'Cost of Quality'.
  
• Team member assisting in the Continuous Improvement programme
  
• Resolution of material quality issues with the supplier base.
  
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing techniques
  
• Excellent organisational skills
  
• Excellent project leadership and management
