• Electrical / Electric
• Casting
• Mechanical
• Bogie & Brake

Purpose of the Job

• Sourcing localisation support to local partners and projects
• Monitor and follow up suppliers localisation plan, documentation submission and First Article Inspection (FAI) planning · Improvement of Q/C/D indicators for suppliers (Quality, Costs and Delivery)
• Prepare invoicing memo to be sent to partners
• Develop and extend global sourcing with European Buyers/Commodity Managers
• Set up suppliers database and market analysis

• Partners for which services contracts are provided, including ALSTOM Transport joint ventures in China
• European Procurement units / project teams
• Sourcing and quality teams
• Suppliers

Measurement Success in the job will be measured through the following criteria:

• Supplier identification and development strategy preparation
• Good communication and relationship with project teams & partners, while defending ALSTOM interests=> no complain from partners / project teams

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• At least three years experience as sourcing engineer for large industrial projects

Technical Knowledge / Experience

• Technical railway and product knowledge
• Value analysis
• Technical training in sourcing skills

Behavioural and Technical Skills / Competencies

• Capacity to manage cross relationships
• Project management notion
• Negotiation skills
• Team player and able to work under pressure
