Protect the Company’s Intellectual Property (IP) in
Responsibilities:
l Protect the commercial and legal interests of the company with a primary focus on IP and prevention of piracy of software, brands and trademarks which includes performing periodic risk assessments and conducting ongoing monitoring and investigation activities
l Develop administrative procedures for documenting, tracking, investigating and taking remedial action in non-compliance cases, liaising or working with outside counsel as necessary to recover lost revenue
l Provide training to the Company’s Sales and Service organizations regarding their responsibilities in this area and foster an awareness in the marketplace and with our customers regarding the improper use of pirated software
l Work with Software Development Services, Sales and Service organizations to identify persons or entities offering to copy or sell pirated copies of the Company’s software and take remedial action
l Provide initial reviews and input on leases, standard contracts, business proposals, and any other legal agreements with assistance of outside counsel as necessary
l Work with departments such as General Management, Finance, HR, IT and Supply Chain, plus local government officials and other third parties in reviewing any appropriate matters from a legal perspective
Qualifications:
l 2-year experience in IP related field; outstanding candidate with less experience would also be considered
l Degree with major in law, preferably with an IP focus
l In depth understanding of
l Flexibility to work and communicate with coworkers / management in US eastern time zone
l Top notch communicator with good negotiation skills and high standards of integrity
l Proficiency in written and spoken English with Putonghua as mother-tongue
