To support all regional and global category teams in their Low Cost Country Sourcing activities General description: · Manages the in-country procurement activities for a wide range of products and services with responsibility for maximising the value receives from the suppliers.
· Supports global and regional strategic sourcing activities focusing on leveraging company’s purchasing power across the globe and region.
· Pro-actively undertakes spend and cost base review to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
· Commits to and delivers an annual savings targets for managed spend, savings to be tracked in the Group Procurement Benefits tracking system and in accordance with the benefits tracking guidelines.
· Identifies key clients and applies the stakeholder management process for clients of the spend portfolio to ensure client intimacy and responsiveness is maintained with procurement operating model.
· Responsible for sourcing execution including but not limited to internal requirement analysis, supply market analysis, sourcing strategy development, tendering process, negotiation and contract award.
· Supports development of systems for sourcing, contract management, vendor management and purchase to pay and ensures that systems processes and development are effectively applied.
· Follows development in the procurement field, networks with other procurement practitioners in the industry and keeps abreast of best practice to contribute to performance and delivery to clients.
· Supports global and regional category teams in their Low Cost Country Sourcing activities in China including but not limited to Market Analysis, Total Landed Cost calculations, Supply Chain Analysis and Management, Supplier identification and qualification and management of supplier relationships within the China region.
· Responsible for the development of the appropriate internal capabilities in China to accommodate the requirements of global or regional category teams regarding Low Cost Country Sourcing in China.
· Supports the Central Team in developing and implementing a global Low Cost Country strategy.
· Acts as the Subject Matter Expert and provides advice and support for category teams regarding their Low Cost Country Sourcing activities globally.
· Responsible for the opportunity assessment of categories regarding Low Cost Country Sourcing in China. Education level:
University degree and preferably Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (UK) or Institute of Supply Management (US) Knowledge and skills:
Excellent Skills in Strategic Sourcing, Financial Analysis, Language (English & Mandarin), Contracting Knowledge, Negotiation Skills, Project Management, Presentation Skills, Stakeholder Management, Cross Cultural, Low Cost Country Sourcing Experience: · 8 years working experience in procurement, of which at least 3 years in a complex, multi cultural environment
· Experience in change management projects
· An understanding of and familiarity with leading edge procurement tools, techniques and systems
· Relevant industry experience: Banking or Services
