职位描述/要求：
Responsibilities:
1. Be a technology hunter, screen and qualify emerging technologies that are relevant to China and transfer them across business units.
2. Liaison between the business unit and T&I management in establishing good communication, project priorities and R&D activities for commercial success.
3. Monitor the competitive landscape and communicate a clear strategy back to the T&I management team for action to develop new products for meeting local customer needs.
4. Be fully responsible for using the knowledge of chemical engineering and polymer chemistry together with experimental methods to develop new products to support the technical objectives.
5. Oversee and coordinate the startup projects internally and externally (universities, institutes or R&D centers) and transition newly invented technologies and processes to manufacturing facilities globally.
6. Collaborate with other scientists and engineers in T&I, manufacturing, marketing, and customers for new product development.
7. Understand the technological gaps and recommend what business needs by utilizing suitable disruptive or new technologies for strategic growth in China/India.
8. Provide technical leadership and conduct technical due diligence for potential acquisitions.
9. Use stage gate process. Participate in R&D lab or pilot plant trials internally or externally and comply with local and corporate EH&S requirements.
Requirements:
1. Master degree or above with major in Chemical engineering, Polymer Engineering/Science or Food Technology. PhD degree is preferred.
2. Have experience in a Multinational Company, above 5 years of experience in a reputed R&D laboratory is a plus.
3. Hands on, willing to work long hours, be energetic, enthusiastic and have the capacity to apply extra effort when the occasion demands.
4. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Able to work independently and interact with people at all levels within and outside the company.
6. Must have good organizational ability.
7. Fluent in English, both written & oral.
8. Willing to travel up to 25%.
