职位描述/要求：
Location: Shanghai (preceded by up to 12 months training in Manchester UK)
Reports to: Business Manager - Asia
Main objective:
To be a proactive member of the Asia business unit, providing the engineering support required by customer specific enquires and contracts. Responsible for generation, maintenance and control of the company's technical drawings and parts lists in support of the companies Asia development strategy.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Production, issue and control of layout and component manufacturing drawings as required in support of specific customer enquiries, quotations and contracts, using SolidWorks 3D CAD system and working to recognised international and in-house standards.
- Production, issue and maintenance of item master and equipment bills of materials as required in support of specific customer enquiries, quotations and contracts.
- Ensuring drawing and documentation meet relevant company and international standards.
- Meeting deadlines as required by project and customer timescales.
- General engineering support for the Asia region - this may include foreign travel.
- A degree of flexibility with respect to scope of duties and working hours as overtime may be necessary from time to time.
- Communicating fluently in both Chinese and English language.
Key Performance Indicators:
- The timely completion of assigned tasks within cost targets.
- Accurate production of engineering documentation required.
- Working to company procedures and practices.
- A proactive approach to improving working practices and engineering support in the Asia region.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical engineering or similar
- Relevant experience in a draughting/design environment is preferable but not essential
- Experience/knowledge of using 3D CAD systems is required
- Familiarity and experience with Microsoft packages required.
- Fluent Chinese and English speaking with good written skills
- Willing to live and work in the Manchester, UK area for up to 12 months prior to permanently working from our facility near Jiading, Shanghai.
- Employment terms and conditions will be based on local Chinese status and in line with those currently offered by our company in Shanghai, China.
- Persons needing to relocate to the Manchester area for the training period will be eligible for reasonable living expenses in addition to their Chinese salary.
- Assistance will be given with necessary visa requirements as required.
